| I have been very lucky!
As I have said in other places on this web page! I was privledged and honored to learn the basics of running and caring for working dogs from Joe Garnie... A true master dogman, in the old "tradesman" sense of the word. But I haven't learned the little I now know about mushing just from Joe... I devoure every book, every web page, every magazine, and every other bit of information on mushing that I can lay my eyes on... And I suspect I am not alone in this constant search for more knowledge about dogs... For every true musher, dogs become an overwhelming addiction... something you could (and often do) waste away an entire day just talking about around the kitchen table (over endless cups of hot coffee!) |

| So thats why I figure I am not the only musher digesting every scap of info about dogs she or he can find...
And then there are the dogs themselves... they are truely the ones we learn the most from! The real master teachers! Just like a good teacher in a classroom must learn more from their students than they themselves ever teach, a musher must learn, always be learning, from her or his dogs! They are the source of all truth in mushing. |
