At Sawtooth Kennels we love what we do!

It is our true passion... to run for miles with our dogs, dogs we have known since before their eyes were even open, through amazing wilderness, and to share it all with kids and adults alike via Teaching WoW!

We love it!

The downside is it costs money. A lot of money!

There is the cost of caring for the dogs- dog food alone, in the heat of intense race training and the cold of winter, costs more than $800 a month- and then there is all the other "dog" related expenses: race fees ($1,850 for Iditarod), lines and harnesses, sleds, warm clothes, etc.... the list seems to goe on forever!

Then there is the technology expences, in order, to share it with you all!

Digital cameras, still and video, Mp3 players, computers, portable outdoor wireless networks, videoconferencing equipment... this list seems to go on forever too!

Teaching WoW is a great program! And we are glad and honored to be a part of it... but it cost a lot to acquire and maintain the technology needed to be a part of it (especialy in the cold, harsh environment we play in!)

Sawtooth Kennels is my (Rich) personal kennel and hobby. It is not run or operated exclusively for Teaching WoW or Kigluait Educational Adventures. Rather, it is partnered with Kigluait to help "get the ball rolling" on the Teaching WoW project.

So... Support for Sawtooth Kennels is seperate from membership in Teaching WoW. Support of the kennel pays for such things as dog food and other "dog" related items. Membership in Teaching WoW pays for "moodle" site manegement, curriculum development, videoconferences, etc... Thanks again for you support and interest!
